•   Accountant

Position Description

The Accountant will work as part of the accounting team to fulfill required accounting and financial reporting services for DMS and DMS clients. Responsibilities include preparing billing invoices, maintaining fixed assets, preparing and posting journal entries to the general ledger, reconciling bank accounts, performing monthly close, preparing supporting work papers and documenting procedures. Duties also include assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports and providing support in addressing questions and requests from clients.

Successful candidates will be able to work individually and as a team player, must be detail oriented and work well in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. This position requires excellent organizational skills, a cooperative, professional attitude and effective interpersonal and communication skills with co-workers, clients and vendors.

Position Requirements

Candidates must demonstrate excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills; and proficiency in math, English, and basic accounting concepts and entries. Minimum qualifications include an Associate’s Degree in Accounting with three years of accounting experience as well as solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Insurance accounting experience (1-3 years) and payroll tax background is a plus. A bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred.

•   Claim Representative – Major Medical Claims

Position Description

We are seeking a claim professional to join our Springfield, MA Claim Department. This 40 hour per week position is a great opportunity for an individual interested in pursuing a career in the evaluation and management of claims. Responsibilities for this position include accurate review and processing of medical claims in accordance with the plan’s benefits, limitations, and exclusions. This position will manage claim correspondence, medical records, and respond to customer, client, and provider inquiries in timely manner.

Successful candidates will be able to work individually and as a team player, must be detail oriented and work well in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. This position requires excellent organizational skills, a cooperative, professional attitude and effective interpersonal and communication skills with co-workers, claimants, and treating medical providers.

Position Requirements 

Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong analytical and decision-making skills. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required. Experience with processing health insurance claims, familiarity with HCFA’s, medical terminology, medical necessity, UCR assessments, proficiency using Excel, and a working knowledge of ICD10 and CPT codes is preferred. Candidate must have excellent organizational, time management and customer service skills as well as the ability to multi-task.

•   Individual Disability Claim Consultant

Position Description

We are seeking a professional and enthusiastic individual to join our Springfield, MA Claim Department. Responsibilities include thorough investigation, adjudication and management of Individual Long Term Disability (LTD) claims.  A successful candidate will be able to work individually and as a team player, must be detail oriented and work well in a fast-paced environment. This position requires excellent organizational skills, a cooperative, professional attitude and effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Position Requirements 

The Claim Consultant is responsible for investigating, adjudicating, administering and managing a caseload of new and ongoing disability insurance claims on behalf of client insurance companies in accordance with DMS practices, contractual provisions and statutory requirements.

Qualifications include a minimum of three years experience managing individual disability, LTD or workers compensation claims in addition to a Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent relevant business experience. Qualified candidates must be well organized, demonstrate professionalism, excellent communication, analytical, consultative and decision-making skills. Bachelor’s degree or relevant business experience required.  Business travel experience preferred.  Experience in Conflict Resolution preferred.


•   Claim Representative

Position Requirements 

Bachelor’s Degree is required.

Experience managing disability claims or other relevant insurance experience is a plus.

•   Operations Specialist

Position Description

We are seeking a professional and enthusiastic individual to support our Springfield, MA Claims Department. This full-time position is a great opportunity for an early career professional to work for a well-established, dynamic company. Responsibilities include handling general inquiries from internal and external customers, processing daily benefit checks, setting up claim files and photocopying. This position also includes operational support duties such as processing and scanning incoming and outgoing mail; maintaining a file storage system; assisting with in-house moves; assisting with the requisition and management of office supplies; and providing telephone coverage in the receptionist’s absence.

Successful candidates will be able to work individually and as a team player, must be detail oriented and work well in a fast-paced environment. This position requires excellent organizational skills, a cooperative, professional attitude and effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Position Requirements

Qualifications include a high school degree (Associates Degree preferred) and a minimum of two years’ of operations or administrative experience. Qualified candidates must demonstrate professionalism, Oral Communication – Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Responds well to questions. Written Communication – Writes clearly and informatively; able to read and interpret written information, Customer Service – Responds promptly to customer needs; Responds to requests for service and assistance, computer and organizational skills, as well as proficiency in math and English. Must also have the ability to multi-task, work independently, take direction and maintain confidentiality.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds. The vision requirements include: close vision.
