We are seeking a professional and enthusiastic individual to join our Springfield, MA Claim Department. This 40 hour per week position is a great opportunity for an individual interested in pursuing a career in the evaluation and management of disability claims. Responsibilities include thorough investigation, adjudication and management of individual disability income claims. A Claim Representative gains a comprehensive understanding of each claim by obtaining and examining the medical, occupational and financial elements of the claim.
Successful candidates will be able to work individually and as a team player, must be detail oriented and work well in a fast-paced environment. This position requires excellent organizational skills, a cooperative, professional attitude and effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication, analytical, customer service, organizational and decision-making skills. Bachelor’s Degree is required. Experience managing disability claims or other relevant insurance experience is a plus.
We are seeking a professional and enthusiastic individual to support our Springfield, MA Claims Department. This full-time position is a great opportunity for an early career professional to work for a well-established, dynamic company. Responsibilities include handling general inquiries from internal and external customers, processing daily benefit checks, setting up claim files and photocopying. This position also includes operational support duties such as processing and scanning incoming and outgoing mail; maintaining a file storage system; assisting with in-house moves; assisting with the requisition and management of office supplies; and providing telephone coverage in the receptionist’s absence.
Qualifications include a high school degree (Associates Degree preferred) and a minimum of two years’ of operations or administrative experience. Qualified candidates must demonstrate professionalism, excellent communication, customer service, computer and organizational skills, as well as proficiency in math and English. Must also have the ability to multi-task, work independently, take direction and maintain confidentiality. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
