Software Developer (Springfield):

This position directly contributes to the development and maintenance of
applications to support our business needs. Responsibilities include participating
in the evaluation of business requirements; preparing application system
specifications; developing, testing and implementing application solutions;
performing maintenance and support tasks on existing systems; developing and
modifying Crystal reports; and writing technical documentation in support of
assigned projects.
The ideal candidate will be an avid learner and will have the ability to work with
limited supervision as well as within a team.

Required Qualifications: 

Position Requirements include but are not limited to:
• One to three years software development; familiarity in developing object
oriented systems using Visual Basic 6.0, Visual Basic.Net, Visual Studio, SQL
Server and Crystal Reports
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Candidate must be able to demonstrate effective communication, both orally
and in writing
• Excellent problem solving skills are required
• Insurance Industry experience is preferred

 Claim Consultant (Springfield):

The Claim Consultant is responsible for investigating, adjudicating, administering
and managing a caseload of new and ongoing disability insurance claims on behalf
of client insurance companies in accordance with DMS practices, contractual
provisions and statutory requirements. The degree of autonomy with which a Claim
Consultant is expected to function generally increases with experience. The degree
of complexity of casework assigned to a Claim Consultant is expected to correlate
directly to the Claim Consultant’s degree of expertise.

Required Qualifications: 

Qualifications include excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills.
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3 years managing individual disability, LTD
or workers comp claims experience required. Candidate must be tech savvy, have
a strong attention to detail and have demonstrated strength in communication.

Lead Operations Specialist (Springfield):

Position Description

  • Coaching and Communication, Motivation, and Morale-Building
  • Mentoring staff members in the performance of their day to day job activities.
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other DMS employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships and communication with clients and vendors.
  • Introduce and Implement Process Improvements
  • Mail Prioritization and Delegation
  • Oversee incoming and outgoing mail, including US mail, overnight and facsimile.
  • Ensure proper receipt and handling of all mail.

Legal Administrative Assistant (Springfield):

Position Description

  • This person will act as a liaison between in-house counsel, claims personnel and outside claim counsel
  • They will review, verify and log legal bills and produce quarterly legal-activity reports as well serving as a liaison between claims personnel, claims counsel, and state insurance departments and client companies regarding responses to insured complaints
  • Maintain and update legal research files, open and closed litigation files and track pending litigation
  • Perform various support tasks including, but not limited to filing, copying and word processing
  • Provide data accumulation support to the internal audit function

Position Requirements

  • Office experience required
  • Associates degree preferred
  • 2–3 years’ administrative assistant experience
  • Insurance industry experience and familiarity with legal proceedings preferred
